Vocabulary UP


Tail: be at someone's heels, be at the heels of, follow closely, follow hard after, follow up, keep track of, run close; Go after with the intent to catch.
Snipe: shoot from a concealed place
Oblige: bind, coerce, compel, constrain, force, impel, obligate; Bind by an obligation; cause to be indebted. ; Force or compel somebody to do something.
Porch: portal, entrance, arcade, doorway, entryway, portico, veranda, vestibule, stoop, verandah; A structure attached to the exterior of a building often forming a covered entrance.
Prunes: trim, peel, chop back, clip, cut, lop off, mow, cut back.
Tents: bell tent, shelter tent; A portable shelter (usually of canvas stretched over supporting poles and fastened to the ground with ropes and pegs).
Clap: applaud, cheer, clap one's hands, express approval; Clap one's hands or shout after performances to indicate approval.
Turtle: turn upside down; Overturn accidentally.
